MEP Learnings Community Meetup Recap – June 2025
Date: June 21, 2025
Location: Warehouse Four, Dubai
Attendance: 149 MEP professionals from consultants, contractors, client representatives, and industry experts
On the evening of June 21, we witnessed yet another meaningful chapter in the journey of the MEP Learnings Community.
What started as a simple intention to bring engineers together has evolved into a growing platform of connection, collaboration, and shared growth. We are truly grateful to everyone who took time out of their weekend to attend. The presence of engineers and professionals from various companies added immense richness to the discussion.
It was more than just an event. It was an evening filled with curiosity, respect, and a shared purpose.
Event Highlights
The evening began with a warm networking session where engineers met, reconnected, and engaged in real conversations beyond titles and designations. It set the tone for what was to come, an evening not driven by formality, but by authenticity and knowledge.
The main session began with an opening talk, where Sameer Hussain shared the story behind this community, the fears, the struggles, and the belief that if we help each other, we all move forward. That belief continues to guide us.
We were honored to have three exceptional speakers:
- Mr. Abdulla Safwan presented on Fire-Rated Duct Systems and the upcoming ADCDA regulations. His insights were technically relevant and aligned with current project needs.
- Mr. Anas Shareef spoke about the correct use and common misuses of BMS systems. Though time was limited, his message was clear, practical, and valuable.
- Mr. Mohan Daniel, a three-time Best Electrical Engineer award winner, explained Fire Alarm Systems with technical depth and complemented it with real-life project stories, making his session highly engaging and memorable.
To each speaker, thank you for your time, effort, and willingness to share. Your contribution made a real impact.
A heartfelt thank you to Airmaster Equipments Emirates L.L.C, who stepped in as our event sponsor. With no branding push and no agenda, just a genuine intention to support learning.

Key Takeaways
- Clarity on Fire-Rated Duct Systems and updates to ADCDA regulations
- Practical understanding of how BMS systems should and should not be used
- Deeper insights into Fire Alarm design principles through technical and personal stories
- Genuine peer-to-peer networking that led to real discussions and meaningful connections
Celebrating Community Contributors – June 2025
At the heart of the MEP Learnings Community are individuals who make knowledge-sharing a habit, not a one-time act.
In our June meetup, we proudly recognized two such contributors:
🏆 Knowledge Navigator Award – Mr. Abdullah Amanullah
For his consistent, thoughtful responses that help others navigate real-world design and site challenges with clarity and experience.

⚡ Spark Plug Award – Mr. Sikkandar Mohamed Iqball
For asking insightful, project-based questions that spark deep technical discussions and keep the community buzzing with learning.

To both of you, thank you for setting the tone for what this community stands for: shared growth, meaningful dialogue, and real support.
Looking Ahead
What sets this community apart is its purpose, engineers coming together to support one another, grow together, and remind ourselves that we are not alone in this industry.
With each meetup, the MEP Learnings Community grows in size, relevance, and impact. We move ahead with humility and purpose, and we are grateful for everyone who’s walking this journey with us.
Let’s keep moving forward. Together.
